As Lead of the Visual Design Team (of the in-house creative studio) at Duo Security, we were armed with the understanding that information security (infosec) and IT audiences are not the same, are wary of slick, traditional marketing, and love a good pun. What started as a dad joke in a brain-storm, became iconic swag of legend (and helped to unlock Unicorn status / $2.3B acquisition, Cisco Systems, Inc.).

A clever visual twist makes one look again. Prominent, compelling, branded graphics carry the burden of the brand - even the bag is durable and practical with a common sense aim on cycles of reuse that attracts attention and implies a user endorsement (like word-of-mouth) to each post-purchase impression.
